Have you ever had a dream to play professional basketball? Two local entities are teaming up to make that dream happen for one lucky person!

ESPN Triad and the Greensboro Swarm have teamed up to present the “Dreamshot” Contest. The contest is designed to give one lucky winner a free tryout with the Greensboro Swarm, the Developmental League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets.

The Greensboro Swarm are the newest D League team to join the league. They will begin play at the newly remodeled Pavilion at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex on November 2nd. The Hornets own the Swarm and will send players back and forth to the minor league team throughout the upcoming season.

ESPN Triad is holding a video contest to give away one coveted spot for tryouts to join the team, open to the public on October 2nd 2016.

Like the ESPN Triad Facebook page and upload a short video (max :60 secs) of why you should win a free tryout with the Greensboro Swarm! Simply shoot your video on your smartphone, go to the ESPN Triad timeline on Facebook and upload your video to the page. Video can be of yourself showing off your basketball skills, a testimonial, or anything else creative to show why you should be selected for the tryout spot.

ESPN Triad’s panel of judges will choose the entry that we feel is most deserving of a “dream shot” to play NBA basketball with the Swarm of the NBA’s D-League! Winner will be announced on Sept 27th episode of The Scott Hamilton Show (3-6pm, WSJS and ESPN Triad). The winner will receive one paid Tryout spot with the hottest new team in the area, the Greensboro Swarm!
