MY 48, WSJS TO CARRY SELECT DASH GAMES ONCE AGAIN THIS SEASON

 

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Feb. 9, 2016) – Fans can follow the Winston-Salem Dash through their television, radio, computer and mobile device thanks to an expansive broadcast schedule for the 2016 season.

 

The Dash’s long-standing relationships with My 48 (WMYV-TV) and 600 AM-WSJS will continue in 2016. My 48 will carry the home opener (Thursday, April 14 vs. Salem) and all 11 Sunday home games, marking the fifth season in a row that WMYV will televise Dash games. WSJS will broadcast all Thursday games, both home and road, for a fourth consecutive season.

 

All regular season and postseason games will be streamed at wsdash.com/broadcast and the TuneIn Radio App, which is a free download on all mobile devices. MiLB.tv, a subscription-based service, will offer a video stream for all 70 home games and select road games.

 

Brian Boesch (pronounced “Bush”) will enter his fifth season as the Dash’s lead play-by-play broadcaster. Boesch, who has called more than 500 Dash games, also works as the studio host for the University of Michigan’s football and men’s basketball broadcasts through IMG College, which is located in Winston-Salem. Former American League All-Star Lary Sorensen is set for his third year as the Dash’s television analyst. An 11-year MLB pitcher with seven different organizations, Sorensen also broadcasts for Wake Forest University’s baseball program.

 

The Dash will welcome Joe Weil (pronounced “While”) to the broadcast booth for 2016. The Boston University alumnus spent the 2015 season with the Falmouth Commodores of the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League. He also works at IMG College with Gonzaga and Villanova’s radio networks. Weil replacesScott Kornberg, who is the new lead broadcaster for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the Chicago Cubs’ affiliate in the Carolina League.

 

The 2016 season begins Thursday, April 7, when the Dash travel to Lynchburg to take on the Hillcats in a game that will be available on WSJS.
