Charlotte FC Defeats FC Cincinnati 2-0

After losing the first three games of the season the Charlotte FC has now won their last two games after defeating FC Cincinnati 2-0 at Bank of America Stadium.

Once again it was star striker, Karol Swiderski, who was questionable for this game, leading the way making it two consecutive games where he has scored two goals.. Swiderski, who suffered a low grade hamstring strain was a last minute game time decision. Coach Miguel Angel Ramirez had nothing but praise for his star striker. “I’m super proud of these kinds of players that even with pain and soreness ,and a last-minute decision, say Coach, I prefer to go in and take a risk,” says Ramirez.

Ben Bender, Charlotte”s midfielder once again had a terrific game as he collected his third assist of the season and had another scoring opportunity.

As it has done all year, the defense ,despite weathering a couple of storms, did a magnificent job and goalkeeper, Kristijan Kahlina was on top of his game. The defense also got exceptional play from newly acquired midfielder Derrick Jones, and defender Joseph Mora

Throughout this game you could see both sides of the ball playing more comfortably and fluently together. then the three games in which they lost.

“I think that one of the great things about this team is that we have a lot of depth, and all the players are ready to play,” said midfielder Sergio Ruiz.. ” We have different ages, countries and languages, but we are still united. There’s a strong bond between us ,which shows on the field.”

Yes it definitely did show on the field for the second straight game and I wouldn’t be surprised if it showed again this upcoming Saturday as Charlotte FC once again plays home this time against the 3-1 Philadelphia Union..
