Help is on the way Braves nation. With Erick Aybar batting a lonely .136 with only 1 RBI something has to change. The Braves have committed 9 errors on the year and Aybar has committed 2 of those. Yes not all 9 errors are from Aybar, but Braves nation has come custom to stellar defense in years past.
When will Ozzie Albies be in Atlanta? His stats look a little like this in the first 11 games in AA ball, 16-45 (.356) .412 OBP, 2 2B, 2 3B, and 9 runs scored.
With Albies only being 19 years old, he still has a lot to prove before he can reach Gwinnett. Stats don’t lie and if he can keep this pace up, we will see him sooner rather than later in Atlanta.
With the Braves sitting at 3-9 and on a 3 game win streak, every bit of firepower will help. Freeman looks like he is getting his groove back after starting 2-30 on the season. And that is a good sign for the Braves. Nick Markakis is a double machine and Smith is looks very conformable in a Braves uniform.
The one thing we can answer after this 3 game win streak is, HC Fredi González job is safe for this week. After starting 0-9 to begin the season, that was not the case. The Braves have played much better as of late and it has shown. Will they keep it up and continue on this pace, or will they regain the struggle that the gained at the beginning?
