Tobacco Road Sports Radio has released its 2025 High School Broadcast Schedule.
The Forsyth County Game of the Week returns to WTOB 96.7fm/980am with an opening week rivalry game between perennial regional power East Forsyth vs Glenn. Kickoff is set for 7pm with long time East Forsyth play by play team of Desmond Johnson and Rod Funderburk. Every East Forsyth game can be heard on the East Forsyth Sports Network, powered by Tobacco Road Sports Radio.
The Guilford County Game of the Week is back on WCOG 105.3fm/1320am with a huge game with statewide implications early with a champion vs champion matchup. Grimsley and West Charlotte, both state champions and undefeated a year ago, will play at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte opening night, with a special kickoff time of 8pm. Grimsley Sports Network’s Chase Williams and Coach James Wilhelmi will be on the call. All Grimsley games can be heard on the Grimsley Sports Network, powered by Tobacco Road Sports Radio.
Throughout the 2025 season, Tobacco Road Sports Radio will have the biggest games in the Triad, including early on with Grimsley vs West Forsyth, East Forsyth vs Northern Guilford, Lake Norman at Mt Tabor and a massive rivalry game between East Forsyth and Grimsley on Sept 5th. The two schools have not faced each other since the 2021 Covid Spring season.
Tobacco Road Sports Radio also runs sports networks for local high schools Glenn and Mt Tabor. Both schools home football games can be heard all season at Tobacco Road Sports Radio’s High School Football Tab.
