Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 25 points (8-17 FG, 4-7 3pt FG), along with 5 assists, while Ricky Rubio totaled 20 points (5-13 FG) and 13 assists in the victory. With the win, the Jazz improve to 47-30, while the Hornets fall to 35-42 on the season.

The Jazz currently sit in the 5-seed in the Western Conference, 2.0 games behind the 4-seed Rockets and 0.5 games ahead of the 6-seed Clippers, while the Hornets sit in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, 3.0 games behind the 8-seed Heat.
