BREAKING NEWS: Walkertown Wolfpack Join Tobacco Road Sports Radio for 2026-27 School Year

Tobacco Road Sports Radio to broadcast Wolfpack home football and varsity basketball games, plus a weekly live coaches show from Walkertown

Tobacco Road Sports Radio is expanding its high school sports coverage across the Piedmont Triad with the addition of Walkertown High School athletics for the 2026-27 school year.

The new partnership will bring live broadcasts of Walkertown Wolfpack home football games and varsity basketball doubleheaders to fans throughout the season.

Broadcasts will be available on TobaccoRoadSportsRadio.com and through the Walkertown Wolfpack NFHS Network, providing supporters with both live audio and video options to follow the Wolfpack.

The addition of Walkertown strengthens Tobacco Road Sports Radio’s growing network of high school sports coverage across the Triad. The network also provides broadcasts, programming and digital content featuring schools such as Grimsley, East Forsyth, Mount Tabor, Glenn, Triad Baptist and other programs throughout the region.

Wolfpack Football Comes to Tobacco Road Sports Radio

Walkertown’s home football schedule will be featured throughout the 2026 season, giving fans live access to Wolfpack football from Walkertown High School.

The broadcasts will provide professional play-by-play coverage, analysis, interviews and stories surrounding the program. Fans who cannot attend the games in person will be able to listen through TobaccoRoadSportsRadio.com or watch on the Wolfpack NFHS Network. Select broadcast will simulcast on WTOB 96.7FM/980am/1470am on the Forsyth County Game of the Week. Home opponents this year include Carver, Reidsville and Atkins.

The coverage will showcase Walkertown’s players, coaches and community while helping build greater visibility for the football program across Forsyth County and the Piedmont Triad.

“The Wolves Den” Debuts Wednesday Nights

In addition to live game broadcasts, Walkertown football head coach Tripp Honeycutt will host a weekly coaches show titled “The Wolves Den.”

The show will broadcast live every Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. from Elizabeth’s Pizza in Walkertown and will be hosted by Brandon Blakney.

“The Wolves Den” will give fans an inside look at the Wolfpack football program throughout the season. Coach Honeycutt will recap the previous week’s game, preview upcoming opponents and discuss player development, team goals and other news surrounding Walkertown football.

The weekly show will also provide opportunities to feature Wolfpack players, assistant coaches, school officials and other guests connected to the program.

Episodes of “The Wolves Den” will be available through Tobacco Road Sports Radio’s digital platforms, giving fans an additional way to stay connected to the team beyond Friday nights.

Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball Featured

The partnership will continue into the winter sports season with live coverage of Walkertown varsity boys and varsity girls basketball.

Tobacco Road Sports Radio will broadcast selected Wolfpack home basketball games and varsity doubleheaders during the 2026-27 school year.

The broadcasts will highlight both programs and provide coverage of key conference matchups, rivalry games and other important contests throughout the season.

Fans will be able to follow the action live on TobaccoRoadSportsRadio.com and watch through the Walkertown Wolfpack NFHS Network.

By featuring both the men’s and women’s varsity programs, Tobacco Road Sports Radio will give Walkertown’s student-athletes a larger platform while providing families, alumni and supporters with professional coverage throughout the basketball season.
