2023 Bowman Gray Racing Season Preview

Finally!!! The countdown is on for the drop of the green flag for the 2023 Bowman Gray Season.

Tim Brown will set his sights on lucky number 13 after winning back to back titles the last two years.  Drivers such as Brandon Ward, John Holleman IV, Chris Fleming and others will look to find a way to end the streak of the Brown-Myers championships that dates back to 2014 when Danny Bohn won his title.  Before that, Junior Miller was the champion in 2003.

The Modified division will have a few familiar faces in it, three-time Sportsman series champion Tommy “The Tiger” Neal is expected to run this season along with Ross “Boo Boo” Dalton and Bryant Robertson who will make his Modified debut as well.

Daniel Beeson will be teaming up with New Day Motorsports and become teammates with Brandon Ward.

2023 will have a new champion as Tommy Neal moves up to Modifieds after winning the championship the last two years.

Veteran drivers such as Amber Lynn, Justin Taylor, Michael Adams and Zach Ore will have their hands full as the young guns of Riley Neal and Chase Robertson will look to continue their success after winning multiple races last season.

The Sportsman class will have a few familiar names moving up from other series such as Brandon Brendle, moving up from Stadium Stock, as well as Nate Gregg who is moving up from Street Stock.

AJ Sanders looks to repeat after a dominating season in 2022. Sanders doesn’t have to worry about racing Brandon Brendle, but will have Blaine Currey and Wyatt Sapp, two of the up and coming talented drivers who were are a constant threat to win last year, not to mention Chuck Wall, who is a four time champion in the series and is usually another weekly threat to win. Kyler Staley will look to have a breakout season this year and contend for a championship.
