2021 Bowman Gray Racing Preview

Bowman Gray

Ladies and Gentlemen! Finally, after zero racing at the Madhouse for a year, it’s a race week and time to get down to business! It’s time for some predictions and a quick preview of what to expect this season.

Let’s start things off in our modified series. Burt Myers looks to repeat for the fifth time as he looks for championship number eleven. Tim Brown also is looking to win title number eleven. As for drivers such as Jon Brown, Brandon Ward, Jason Myers and James Civali, they’ll look to to dethrone the champ (Myers) and Brown. There will be a familiar face running in modified this year. John Holleman will drive the famous 69 formerly driven by Junior Miller. My pick to win the 2021 Brad’s Golf Cart Modified Series will be the 04 Q104 driver, Brandon Ward. Ward has been a contender the past few years, but I feel like he’ll be more of a threat throughout the season and I can see him being crowned your 2021 Bowman Gray Modified champion

Next up in Sportsman, Justin Taylor will look to repeat but he’ll have to deal with Dylan Ward, Amber Lynn, Michael Adams, Zach Ore and Tommy Neal. Rumor has it, a former Sportsman legend will be returning to the series so be sure you keep an eye out for who it is! As for my championship winner, I look for Dylan Ward to continue his dominance and go on to pick up his first Bowman Gray Stadium title!

Now time for Street Stock. Billy Gregg picked up the title in 2091. As he looks to defend his title and repeat, make sure to keep an eye out for Jeremy Warren, Brian Wall, Jac Creed, fan favorite Taylor Robbins, Bryan Sykes and Nate Gregg to contend for wins and the title. Chris Allison will also be moving up this year. But my pick for the championship will be none other than Billy Gregg as I look for him to edge out Jac Creed in a tight battle for the Bowman Gray Street Stock Championship!

Finally we got the Stadium Stock. Chuck Wall will look to pick his fifth title and repeat as back to back champion! But first he’ll have to battle it out with AJ Sanders, Grayson Keaton, Brandon Brendle and Tyler McDonald. I feel like Grayson Keaton will be a heavy contender but some how, some way Chuck Wall will sneak away with another title and win number five.

Be sure you’re at the Madhouse this Saturday June 5th for the season premiere of the long awaited 72nd season at Bowman Gray as it’ll be the Hayes Jewelers 200, 40 lap Sportsman race, along with Street Stock and Stadium Stock. I would like to wish each and every driver…best of luck this season!
