Wake Forest defeats Pitt 69-65

Wake Forest vs. Pitt: The Wake Forest Demon Deacons got a hard-fought road win at Pitt on Saturday, 69-65. The Deacons overcame a 16-point deficit in the first half on the way to the win. Freshman Ismael Massoud hit 2 big three-pointers down the stretch and led the team in scoring with a career-high 14 points. Pitt had a chance late, but Trey McGowen’s shot was blocked by Olivier Sarr and Brandon Childress sealed the win with two foul shots. Ryan Murphy led the Panthers with 18 points in the loss.
