Report: Hubert Davis, UNC agreed to contract extension prior to 2024-2025 season

Hubert Davis and North Carolina reportedly agreed to a contract extension over the summer, according to Brian Murphy. The extension lasts until 2030. Davis has been with North Carolina since 2012, his first and only coaching gig. He was an assistant under Roy Williams from 2012-21 and then took over as head coach. An alum of the school, Davis is 97-42 as head coach and went to the NCAA Tournament finals in his first year at the helm. However, the team declined an NIT invitation the following season.
