Carolina Panthers star running back Christian McCaffrey is expected to be sidelined “multiple weeks” with an ankle injury.

McCaffrey suffered the injury in the 2nd half of the Panthers’ Week 2 loss on the road vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

McCaffrey has ranked 1st among running backs in yards after the catch since been drafted in the league in 2017.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the news via Twitter.
