NC State vs. Virginia Tech: The No. 20 Hokies finally got to hit the field on Saturday, and it was well worth the wait. Despite not having 23 players including Hendon Hooker and multiple coaches including defensive coordinator Justin Hamilton available due to Covid-19 protocols, the Hokies took it to the Wolfpack and earned a 45-24 win. Khalil Herbert burst onto the scene for Virginia Tech as he amassed 195 all-purpose yards and a touchdown in his first game since transferring from Kansas. As a team, the Hokies rushed for 314 yards and held the NC State potent running attack to just 139 rushing yards in the win.
