Grimsley Blasts SW Guilford 71-0, Moves To 8-0

Grimsley High School’s football team delivered an overwhelming performance on Friday, October 19, 2024, crushing Southwest Guilford with a final score of 71-0. The Whirlies showcased their dominance from the start, with quarterback Faizon Brandon leading the charge. Brandon was in exceptional form, completing 15 of 18 passes for 250 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for an additional score. Running back Mitchell Summers also had a standout game, rushing for 180 yards and three touchdowns on just 12 carries.

Grimsley’s defense was impenetrable, preventing Southwest Guilford from gaining any significant ground and securing their fifth shutout of the season. This victory extends Grimsley’s undefeated streak to 8-0, highlighting their robust form throughout the season.
