East Forsyth Eagles Dominate Davie in 55-0 Victory

The Eagles are on a roll.

East Forsyth dominated Davie with an overwhelming 55-0 victory on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The Eagles showcased their offensive and defensive prowess from the start, leaving Davie with little room to maneuver. East Forsyth’s dynamic offense accumulated 503 total yards, including 355 on the ground and 135 through the air, while Davie struggled to find any rhythm, managing only 206 total yards.

Senior running back Corey Blair led the way for East Forsyth, racking up 152 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Bryce Baker also contributed significantly, throwing for 107 yards and one touchdown while rushing for 58 yards. Jaylin Murry, another senior standout, added 68 total yards and a rushing touchdown.

East Forsyth’s defense was equally impressive, recording five sacks and forcing three turnovers, which smothered any attempts by Davie to get on the scoreboard. Senior linebacker Chris Kirby was a standout, recording 11 tackles and 5 tackles for loss, while Robbie Whitney notched three sacks.

This win extends East Forsyth’s undefeated season, bringing their record to 5-0. They continue to assert themselves as one of the top teams in North Carolina, capitalizing on both an efficient offense and an impenetrable defense. Meanwhile, Davie drops to 2-3, struggling to keep up with the pace set by the Eagles.

This convincing victory not only highlights East Forsyth’s dominance in their conference but also sets the tone as they aim for a deep playoff run later this season. Next up for the Eagles, a road game vs ranked Mt Tabor in Winston Salem on Friday, Oct 4th. Kickoff is set for 7pm and you can listen to the game live on the WTOB Forsyth County High School Game of the Week with Desmond Johnson and Rod Funderburk. Stream the game live at TobaccoRoadSportsRadio.com via the East Forsyth Sports Network.
