Carolina Panthers veteran RB Rashaad Penny retiring from NFL

Carolina Panthers running back Rashaad Penny informed the team Tuesday he is retiring after six seasons in the NFL. Penny, 28, was gearing up for season No. 7, but is instead calling it a career. Carolina has officially placed him on the reserve/retired list. The Panthers signed Penny in May, reuniting him with Dave Canales, who served as an assistant on the Seattle Seahawks coaching staff while he was there from 2018-22.
