“We are super excited to add Carolina Cobras games to our growing list of programming,” said Tobacco Road owner Desmond Johnson. “We strive to position Tobacco Road as the #1 place to find local sports games paired with locally based sports talk in the Triad and adding a championship program like the Cobras only elevates Tobacco Road higher in the minds of sports fans in the Triad going forward in 2022 and beyond. We cant wait to get started.”

The deal also will bring a weekly Coaches show with Cobras Head Coach/GM Josh Resignalo that will air weekly on TobaccoRoadSportsRadio.com as well as exclusive coverage of the season via SportsCarolina Monthly.

The Broadcast team will be a rotating group of talent associated with Tobacco Road including Ryan Stone, JP Mundy, Brett Wiseman and Voice of the North Carolina A&T Aggies Spencer Turkin.

Resignalo released the following statement after the announcement. ” I am excited for the opportunity to work with Desmond and Tobacco Road Sports Radio for this upcoming season. We have many things lined up for an exciting season for Cobra Nation. We started our partnership this High School Football season by doing a player of the week each week for the Triad High Schools. Which for Cobra Nation will be exciting to hear about the team on the road with that home feel.”

The Cobras began play in the NAL in 2018 and won the NAL championship in its inaugural season. The Cobras made the NAL championship again the following year in 2019. The home games are played at the Greensboro Coliseum.
