Bryce Young contract: Cost to cut, trade after Carolina Panthers QB benching

The Carolina Panthers (0-2) are heading in a new direction under first-year head coach Dave Canales, benching Bryce Young in favor of veteran quarterback Andy Dalton for this Sunday’s Week 3 road contest against the Las Vegas Raiders (1-1). Young, the 2023 No. 1 overall pick, struggled mightily in his rookie campaign. Those struggles have carried over to 2024. In the Panthers’ two losses to open the season, he completed 31-of-56 passes for 245 yards with zero touchdowns and three interceptions. Young is 2-16 as the Panthers’ starting quarterback.
