Breaking News: Tobacco Road Sports Radio Announces Broadcast Partnership with Truth Broadcasting in Triad for High School Basketball

Tobacco Road Sports Radio has announced that it has entered a partnership with Truth Broadcasting to broadcast High School Basketball in the 2024-25 school year.

Tobacco Road will produce eight regular season Mt Tabor Men’s Basketball “Game of the Week” broadcasts to air on TobaccoRoadSportsRadio.com as well as terrestrial radio station “The Light” WPOL 1340am/103.5fm in Forsyth and Davie County. The agreement includes home state playoff games as well.

The partnership also includes coverage of the Frank Spencer Holiday Classic Tournament. Tobacco Road will produce the semifinals and finals of one of the two brackets featured at Mt Tabor High School to also air on WPOL/WSJS.

“How excited we are to be working with our friends at Tobacco Road Sports Radio in order to include a Game of the Week with Mt Tabor Men’s Basketball as we now expand our heritage High School Athletics coverage”, said Tom Hamilton, Market Manager for WSJS. “WSJS and Truth Broadcasting will open up the playback to showcase play by play broadcasts, coach and player interviews as well as providing insight on both WPOL and WSJS. Eight premiere regular season matchups plus playoffs and a bonus with the well known Frank Spencer Classic”.

Truth Broadcasting and WSJS aren’t strangers to high school sports broadcasts, the company currently produces a High School Football Game of the Week every Friday during the Fall as well as Sports Broadcasts from Duke, Tobacco Road’s production of North Carolina A&T Athletics and the NFL.

The Mt Tabor Game of the Week will join a loaded slate of High School, College and Pro live sports broadcasts being currently produced by Tobacco Road Sports Radio, currently the largest producer of live sports broadcasts in the Triad. Tobacco Road is the current home of North Carolina A&T Football and Men’s Basketball broadcasts, which also run on The Light WKEW 1400am/96.3fm in Guilford County.

Tobacco Road also is the home for the Charlotte Hornets Radio Network, currently running on WWBG 1470am in Guilford County. The broadcast/production outlet also produces 4 separate High School Sports Networks in the Triad, producing live weekly coaches shows, Football, Men and Women’s Basketball and Baseball for East Forsyth, Grimsley, Glenn, West Forsyth and SW Guilford High Schools.

Mt Tabor’s Men’s Basketball broadcast schedule with The Light begins Nov 20th at home vs SW Guilford. The game will tip off at 830pm and can be heard online at TobaccoRoadSportsRadio.com and on terrestrial radio at The Light WPOL 1340am/103.5fm in Forsyth and Davie Counties. The 2024 Frank Spencer Classic begins Dec 18-21st 2024
