BREAKING NEWS: Mt. Tabor High School and Tobacco Road Sports Radio Announce Groundbreaking Broadcast Partnership for 2025-26

Winston-Salem, NC — In a major step toward elevating high school sports coverage in the Triad, Tobacco Road Sports Radio has entered a dynamic new partnership with Mt. Tabor High School for the 2025-26 school year, creating a dedicated online sports network exclusively for the Spartans.

The Mt. Tabor Sports Network, powered by Tobacco Road Sports Radio, will serve as the official digital and radio broadcast home for all Mt. Tabor home football games in the fall. The initiative aims to enhance fan engagement, increase visibility for student-athletes, and provide professional-level sports coverage for the Mt. Tabor community.

As part of the new partnership, a weekly Mt. Tabor Coaches Show will debut in August and run every week live during football season. The show will be hosted live from Bobo’s Deli and Grill in Winston-Salem—just minutes from Mt. Tabor’s campus—and will feature Spartan head football coach Tiesuan Brown, his staff, and rotating players. Fans and families will be invited to attend the live broadcasts, which will stream online and on social media platforms. Show will be live broadcasted at 730pm each Monday night in the regular season with Tobacco Road personality Mike Fanning hosting.

“Mt Tabor is excited about joining our new conference the “Piedmont Triad 5A/6A,” said Mt Tabor Athletic Director Pat Cromwell. “We will play some familiar rivals but also some new ones. The Spartans are grateful to be teaming up with Tobacco Road Sports Radio to broadcast all of our home football games. This is possible thanks to our partner Bobo’s Deli and Grill. Come to Tabor City after fueling up at Bobo’s and watch the Spartans chase another championship!”

But the collaboration doesn’t stop there.

Tobacco Road Sports Radio has also teamed up with Truth Network to launch the Mt. Tabor Men’s Basketball Game of the Week series, which will begin its second season this winter. Select regular season boys’ basketball games will be broadcast live across terrestrial radio in the Triad, streamed online via the Truth Network’s platforms (WPOL 103.5fm Winston Salem), and simulcast on the NFHS Network, ensuring fans never miss a moment of the Spartans on the hardwood.

“Once again in partnership with Tobacco Road Sports Radio, were expanding our sports tradition with Mount Tabor basketball and the top high school games there each week,” said WSJS station manager Tom Hamilton. ” High School Sports matter here and WSJS/Truth Network is proud to help be a voice to the Triad’s future stars.”

This multi-platform partnership marks a significant milestone for both Tobacco Road Sports Radio and Mt. Tabor High School, which boasts a proud athletic history including recent state titles in football and basketball. By combining professional-grade coverage with community storytelling, the new Mt. Tabor Sports Network aims to showcase the next generation of Spartan stars to a growing audience both locally and statewide.

Full broadcast schedules for football, basketball, and coaches shows will be released in early August on www.tobaccoroadsportsradio.com and the official Mt. Tabor Athletics website.
