Fresh off a week off for the Fourth of July, drivers, crews and a little over 10,000 or so fans returned to the Madhouse for the second half of the 2021 season. A ten time rocket found his way back to victory lane and a former champ made a late decision to return back to the track and found himself in victory lane.
The night would kick off with the Street Stock Division with fan favorite Taylor Robbins starting on the pole. Robbins would lead the first five laps until veteran driver David Creed would take the lead and go on to lead the rest of the way giving Creed his fifth career win. Austin Harris would finish second, Billy Gregg who was forced to go to a backup car after having issues early in the day, would finish third. Jeremy Warren would finish fourth and Taylor Robbins finished fifth.
Sportsman would follow as Jac Creed would start up front and lead the majority of the race until the 18th lap. Creed got caught up in some traffic and was spun out as Zack Clifton took the lead and would go on to pick up his 22nd career win in a last second decision to run at the Stadium. Kirk Sheets finished second, Tommy Neal third, fourth Justin Taylor and fifth Spencer Martin.
Now for the nights 100 lap main event. Tim Brown would start on the front row with Brandon Ward after the full field redraw. Brown would dominate the race and lead flag to flag, holding off Brandon Ward giving him career win number 93 and his second of the season. Lee Jeffreys finished third, Burt Myers fourth and Danny Bohn coming home fifth. With this win, Tim Brown and Burt Myers are tied for the points lead. Jonathan Brown is third and Jeffreys is fourth.
In the second Sportsman race, Zack Ore picked up the victory for the first time this season and for the seventh time in his career.
Justin Taylor would finish second, Amber Lynn third, Kyle Southern fourth, and Tommy Neal fifth.
Blaine Curry and AJ Sanders also won in the Stadium Stock Division.
Be sure you check out this coming Saturday July 17th as it will be the Truliant Federal Credit Night presented by Q104.1. There will be two 25-lap races in the Brad’s Golf Cars Series, two 20-lap races in the McDowell Heating & Air Sportsman Series, a 20-lap race in the Law Offices of John Barrow Street Stock Series, and two 15-lap races in the Q104.1 Stadium Stock Series.
