For the second week in a row, we had racing at the Madhouse. A little over 12,000 fans packed the stands again and witnessed a few repeat winners, Superman returns to victory lane driving in a different division, along with a few fresh faces picking up wins. We kicked off the night with tributes to KC Myers and Thomas “Pops” Brown who passed away during the off season.
Stadium Stock would get things going for the night as Brandon Brendle would pick up his first win of the season. Austin Cates second, Luke Smith third, Levi Holt fourth, Wyatt Sapp fifth.
Next up for the night would be Sportsman running their first of two races of the night, as Jac Creed would pick up his first career win in the Sportsman Division. Tommy Neal second, Amber Lynn third, Michael Adams fourth, and Kyle Southern fifth.
Brad’s Golf Cars Modified Series would get things going with their first race of the night, as Tim Brown picking up his first win of the season and 92nd of his career. Burt Myers second, Jason Myers third, Chris Fleming fourth and fifth Brandon Ward
Sportsman would follow things up for their second race of the night with Michael Adams picking up win number 20 of his career. Holding off the Tiger Tommy Neal, Spencer Martin third, Zack Ore fourth, Jac Creed fifth.
Next up would be the Modified Series as they would run their final race of the night. Jon Holleman would pick up his first career win in the modified series adding to his list of accomplishments at the stadium, with winning in all three of the top series at the Madhouse. Not to mention he was driving the famous number 69 modified that was made famous by Junior Miller. Danny Bohn second, Lee Jeffreys third, John Smith fourth, Jonathan Brown fifth.
In the main event of the night, the Law Offices of John Barrow Street Stock Series presented the Thunder Road Grill Street Stock 50. Defending champion Billy Gregg would go on to win his second race of the season extending his points lead over Jeremy Warren. Warren would finish second, Bryan Sykes third, Kevin Gilbert fourth, Nate Gregg fifth.
Robert Strmiska would win the second Stadium Stock event with Grayson Keaton second, Michael Wells third, Tyler Bush fourth, and A.J. Sanders fifth.
Make sure you come out this Saturday night June 20th as it’ll be the Kevin Powell Motorsport 100 present by Q104.1 for modified, including racing from Sportsman, Street and Stadium Stock divisions. First race is at 8:00.
