The Madhouse was able to run back to back weeks for the first time this season in front of about 12,000 at Bowman Gray Stadium in yet another action packed evening. Fans and drivers had a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Chris Fleming, Amber Lynn and Christian Joyce, Luke Smith and Robert Mabe all started on the pole in their divisions on double points night.
In the first 15-lap race in the Q104.1 Stadium Stock Series, Grayson Keaton won his 10th race of his career. A.J. Sanders was second, Justin Owens was third, and Brandon Crotts was fourth.
Next up would be the first of two Twin 25’s Mod races as Chris Fleming won the first 25-lap race in the Brad’s Golf Cars Modified Series, his second in a row, after winning last week in another 25-lap race.
Lee Jeffreys finished second in the first 25-lap race, Jason Myers was third, and Tim Brown was fourth.
There were just two cautions during the first 25-lap Modified race. Fleming was able to stay out front and defeated Lee Jeffreys. Jason Myers was third and Tim Brown was fourth. After the race, Fleming would draw 14 in the Madhouse Scramble, which inverted the field at 14.
Now for the main event, the 100 Lap Sportsman Race. It would take 106 laps to complete as Amber Lynn would lead flag to flag. She would hold off the young impressive 14 year old rookie Riley Neal, Zack Clifton third, Justin Taylor fourth, and Tiger Tommy Neal fifth.
After the Madhouse Scramble and invert, Randy Butner would inherit the pole for the second race, next to Dean Ward.
Butner held off Jonathan Brown til a late race wreck caution took Brown out of competition for the win, as Butner would go on to win his second race of the season in the second 25-lap race. Jeremy Gerstner was second, John Holleman IV was third, and Zack Brewer was fourth.
To end the night we would have the second of two Stadium Stock race as Brandon Brendle slid past Chuck Wall on the final lap for the win, Blaine Curry was third, Wyatt Sapp was fourth, and Tyler McDonald finished fifth.
