Week Two is officially in the books at the Madhouse. History was made in Sportsman, last weeks winner found Victory Lane, and three former winners find their way back to Victory Lane this week.
The night kicked off with Stadium Stock. Kyler Staley would lead until AJ Sanders took the lead on lap 3 and would go on to pick up his 51st career win at the Madhouse! Chuck Wall finished second, Brandon Brendle third, Luke Smith fourth, and Brandon Crotts came in fifth.
Next up was the first of two Sportsman races. 14 year old Riley Neal would start on the pole with Zack Clifton second. Riley would lead flag to flag and go on to win his first career win at Bowman Gray holding off his “Papaw” uncle Tommy Neal. Zack Ore finished third, Zack Clifton fourth and Justin Taylor came in fifth.
Riley Neal became the youngest “official” winner in BGS History, dethroning John Holleman IV as the youngest, John was 15 Years, 1 Month, 19 Days. Riley shattered that record at 14 Years, 4 Months and 23 Days. Thanks to Justin Mincey for that stat!
Jonathan Brown would win the first of two Twin 25’s holding off Jason Myers, Chris Fleming finished third, Burt Myers fourth and Daniel Beeson fifth.
Amber Lynn would grab the second of two Sportsman races holding off Chase Robertson, with Kirk Sheets third, Kyle Southern fourth and fifth Zack Clifton.
Randy Butner would pick up the win over Paul Hall in the second Twin 25 Modified race, Tim Brown third, Brandon Ward fourth and fifth John Holleman IV.
Nate Gregg won the night’s 20-lap Street Stock event, with David Creed second, Billy Gregg third, Bryan Sykes fourth and fifth Brian Wall.
Tyler McDonald would go on to take the checkered flag scoring the win in the nightcap. Tyler Bush second, Grayson Keaton third, Levi Holt fourth, Matt Goodwin fifth
Be sure you check out next Saturday’s (May 7th) action as it’ll be the Kevin Powell Motorsports 100, 100 lap Modified race, including races from Sportsman, Street Stock, and Stadium Stock division.
