ACC Football: Wake Forest defeats Elon 37-17

Wake Forest picked up a big win in the first game of the 2023 ACC football season with a 37-17 victory over Elon. In his first game as the full-time signal caller for the Deacs, Mitch Griffis looked strong, tossing 3 touchdowns on 329 passing yards. Jahmal Banks was Wake’s leading receiver with 6 catches for 108 yards and a touchdown. The Deacs racked up 427 total yards of offense while only allowing 251 yards from the Phoenix.
