WSJS SPORTS, MY 48 TV TO CARRY SELECT DASH GAMES ONCE AGAIN

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (March 23, 2018) – Fans can follow the Winston-Salem Dash through their television, radio, computer and mobile device thanks to an expansive broadcast schedule for the 2018 season.

The Dash’s long-standing relationships with My 48 (WMYV-TV) and WSJS Sports (600 AM) will continue this year. My 48 will carry all 11 Sunday home games, marking the seventh season in a row that WMYV will televise Dash games. WSJS Sports will broadcast all Thursday games, both home and road, for a sixth consecutive year.

In addition, all regular season and postseason games will be streamed at wsdash.com/broadcast and the TuneIn Radio App, which is a free download on all mobile devices. Radio coverage for all games will begin 15 minutes prior to first pitch with the Pregame Dash. MiLB.tv, a subscription-based service, will offer a video stream for all 70 home games and select road contests.

Joe Weil (pronounced “While”) enters his first season as the Dash’s lead play-by-play broadcaster after spending the last two years as a Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant. Weil also works as a studio host and producer for the University of Notre Dame football and Gonzaga University men’s basketball broadcasts through IMG College, which is located in Winston-Salem.

Jake Eisenberg has joined the Dash’s broadcast booth for 2018. Eisenberg, a 2017 graduate of the University of Maryland, spent last season with the Brooklyn Cyclones, the New York Mets’ Short-Season Class-A affiliate in the New York-Penn League, where he served as the team’s radio voice. He was also the radio voice of Maryland Terrapins baseball for two seasons.

Weil and Eisenberg will bring Dash baseball to fans on radio and internet broadcasts. For the 11 Sunday home game broadcasts on My 48, Weil will perform play-by-play duties and be joined in the booth by Craig Deas, who called Lake County Captains (Low-A – Cleveland Indians) games for over a decade.

The 2018 season begins on Thursday, April 5, when the Dash travel to Zebulon, N.C., to take on the Mudcats in a game that will available on WSJS Sports. For a full breakdown, visit the Dash’s Broadcast Corner.
