Wake Forest outlasts Utah State 38-35

Via ACC Digital Network – Utah State vs. Wake Forest: The Demon Deacons came from behind to defeat Utah State 38-35 It was a back and forth game that saw eight lead changes. The final lead change coming as Wake Forest’s Jamie Newman hit Kendall Hinton in the endzone with 1:08 left in the game. With Utah State in field goal range, linebacker Justin Strnad picked off Utah State quarterback Jordan Love to seal the Demon Deacon victory. Newman finished the night completing 34 of 47 passes for 401 yards and scored three touchdowns. Wake Forest wide receiver Sage Surratt had 156 receiving yards on seven catches, and running back Cade Carney ran for 105 yards.
