The Carolina Thunderbirds are proud to announce a new multi-year deal with WTOB “The Big 980” as a coporate partner and the flagship station of the Thunderbirds Radio Network. Broadcasting out of Winston-Salem on the air at 980 am and 96.3 fm, WTOB formed the core of the Thunderbirds Radio Network this past season. Carrying all home and road games, in addition to the weekly Coaches Show WTOB will continue to carry all things Thunderbirds for the next 2 hockey seasons.
President and General Manager of the Thunderbirds Scott Brand on the new deal with WTOB;
“It was important to us to get this deal locked up. I know our fans love being able to tune in to WTOB to get all their Thunderbirds information and being able to bring them all of the games this season has been equally important. WTOB have been a fantastic partner, going above and beyond to help make this inaugural Thunderbirds’ season a success. I know that going forward we can expect more of the same, and we are thrilled to be back working with WTOB.”
