The Rundown – 1992 East Forsyth State Champs – Reunion Edition

On Wednesday December 6th 2017, members of the 1992 East Forsyth Eagles state championship team visited WSJS Sports 600/1200 am in Kernersville. The sports radio cluster listener umbrella stretches from Burlington to Clemmons, covering the entire Triad of North Carolina. 

The station broadcasts Fox Sports Radio shows with “Outkick the Coverage, with Clay Travis” in the mornings, “The Dan Patrick Show” mid mornings, and “The David Glenn Show” early afternoons. 

Coach Ellender, Coach Harris, Marquis “Bam Bam” Scales, TK Alexander, Ron Funderburk visited Kyle Schassburger and sat in for “One on One with the Schass” the sports programming that runs from 3-6pm Monday – Friday. Shassburger had invited the team to sit in to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1992 team winning it all. 

East Forsyth won its state Championship in 1992, defeating Northern Durham for the 4-A State Title. The team finished 15-0 on the season and ranked 15th nationally by USA Today.
