CARAWAY SPEEDWAY WELCOMES SUMMER WITH EXCITING JUNE ACTION

(Sophia, NC): Welcome to the month of June. School is out and Summer vacation begins for all the kids and Caraway Speedway welcomes everyone to “Fan Appreciation Night” at the speedway with $8.00 admission for adults. Start time is 7:00 PM.

The racing on June 4th features a night of “twins” for all divisions at the .455 mile track. The area racers have had a couple of weeks off to regroup from the first part of the season and the “twin” events only add to the excitement.

To kick things off, there will be bike races for the kids just before racing begins. The Late Models run two 35 lap features. The Challengers have “twin” 20 lappers on tap and the 602 Modifieds return to action with “twin” 20’s of their own. Mini Stocks add two 15 lap races and the always exciting UCAR’s have “twin” 10 lappers.

Racing returns again on June 18th with the “Summer Showdown” double points night with added distance events for the Challengers, Mini Stocka and UCAR’s plus the US Legends Cars and Bandoleros. As an added bonus for the fans, Zoo City Auto Sales will give away a car.

A tradition returns to Caraway Speedway on Wednesday night, June 29th with the annual Rusty Harpe Memorial presented by Daggett & Shuler Attorneys at Law. The event honors the memory of long-time Caraway favorite, Rusty Harpe and features 99-lap races for the SMART Modified Tour, Late Models and the 602 Modifieds in their longest race of the year. A big fireworks display honoring Independence Day is also on tap.

The Challengers, Mini Stocks, and UCAR’s come back on July 2nd with extra-lap events along with the US Legends Cars and Bandoleros and a 50 lapper for the Any Car/Enduros in the “Firecracker 200”.

The 336 Meets drifting events fill out the month with shows on June 11th and June 25th so for more information on Caraway Speedway events, check the Caraway Speedway website at www.carawayspeedway.com or their Face Book page at Caraway Speedway.
