Bowman Gray fans can place week three officially into the history books, although it’s week two for most of the divisions after the wash out week one. While it wasn’t the usual hot Saturday night, fans traded their short sleeves in for long sleeves due to cooler temperatures. But not even the dreary weather could stop fans from seeing great action in all divisions, while multiple drivers got their second wins of the year.

The Street Stock kicked the night off with Jeremy Warren starting on pole, after Gerald Robinson Jr who originally had the pole went to the rear, Warren looked to win back to back races and after being awarded the win last week after some post-race inspections. A lap one accident involved fan favorite Taylor Robbins, along with Jac Creed and others. While Jeremy Warren dominated the whole race by leading all twenty laps but he had to hold off a fast Brian Wall.  Bryan Sykes would come in third but would end up getting disqualified due to a post-race mishap. With that being said Blake Shupe would move to third, Aaron Hylton fourth, Amber Lynn fifth and Derrick Rice sixth.

On to the second race of the evening and first Sportsman race, while Billy Gregg and Jeffrey Wood would get into one another during practice that spewed over into the race. As Jeffrey Wood looked to get into Gregg but ended up getting turned into the wall followed by an attempt to back into Gregg but instead ran into the track officials, Meanwhile back to the race, Robbie Brewer and Tommy Neal battled it out for the top spot, as Tommy would eventually go on to winning the race. Robbie Brewer finish second, Michael Adams third, Taylor Branch fourth, and Zack Clifton fifth.

Time for the main event as Modifieds would line up for the Kevin Powell Motorsports 100. Bobby Measmer and Daniel Yates would share the front row. Burt Myers would qualify 2nd but would take a chance and go to the rear in hopes for a big payout in the Fan Challenge. While Measmer would lead early on until mechanical issues would slow things up for the #14. Danny Bohn would grab the lead on the outside. In the meantime Burt would slowly but surely make his way towards the front with caution after caution and then eventually he made his way to the front row where he would battle it out with the former champion, Danny Bohn. Burt would hold off Danny and Tim Brown to win his second race of the year. With that being said Burt Myers won the fan challenge which is a bonus of $3,000 by finishing inside the top four. James Civali finished fourth and Lee Jeffreys fifth.

As the second Sportsman race rolled around, fans weren’t sure what to expect after the first race. While John Holleman battled with Dylan Ward for a couple of laps, eventually he would clear him and pull away to win his second race of the season as Derek Stoltz would come home in second after getting by Ward with a few laps to go, Michael Adams finished fourth and Taylor Branch fifth.

In Stadium Stock, Wesley Thompson would hold off some hard charging Chase Hunt and Stephen Sanders to win his first race of the year. While Chuck Wall would come through victorious as Chris Allison made his way from the back to finish second.

Be sure to check out next week’s action as the main event will be a 50 lap Street Stock event, two 25 lap Modified races, two 20 lap Sportsman races, Stadium Stock, and a classic modified race
