Chinese Martial Arts Competition
Carolina’s Association of Chinese Martial Arts (www.cacma.com) hosted the 19th Queen Charlotte’s Cup tournament on the beautiful UNC Charlotte campus on April 2, 2016.  Competitors came from as far south as Florida and as far north as Wisconsin to participate in this premier event for Chinese martial arts in North Carolina.  Participants competed in empty hands, weapons, light contact continuous sparring, tai chi push hands, chi sao, shuai-jiao, weapons sparring, full contact lei tai and featured a wide variety of external and internal arts.  The Queen’s cup tournament is also a sanctioned tournament for the US Kuoshu Federation (www.usksf.org) which will be hosting its annual International tournament on July 29 – 31, 2016 in Hunt Valley, MD which brings competitors from around the world.

Also, be sure to join CACMA for the 4th annual Robert L Kitchin Open Martial Arts Championship hosted by Grandmaster Robert Kitchin in September 2016 (date TBD) in Gastonia, NC.  The fall tournament will also include several open divisions and a grappling division.  Keep an eye out on www.cacma.com for further details of this tournament.
